This weekend is the 10th annual Shipston Wool Fair, a fantastic celebration of everything sheep, with a promise that this year will be bigger, better and woollier than ever!
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, we sponsored the Wool Fair Farm Day held in association with Lower Clopton Farm on the 5th of May and over 800 people came along to join in the fun. There were sheep dog demonstrations, vintage tractor displays and an amazing variety of food stalls to peruse. Laura and Lisa, from the Meon Vale sales team, were also there to chat to anyone interested in buying a St. Modwen Homes property, just a stone’s throw away from the farm.
Over Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May will be the Woolly Weekend in the lead up to the Wool Fair on Bank Holiday Monday. With live music, crafts and activities for the children and a remarkable array of local traders lining the streets. All in addition to the spectacular displays of rare breed sheep, shearing demonstrations and games taking place on the 28th May.
And don’t forget to be on the lookout for the yarn bombing, you can be sure that anything and everything that can be covered in wool, will be! Make to share your photos with us and the Shipston Wool Fair on social media.
