New house types offer lakeside living at Glan Llyn

07 July 2016

Overlooking a beautiful lake that’s home to an abundance of wildlife, it’s not surprising that St. Modwen Homes has already received high levels of interest in its newly released Garnet and Barlow house types at Glan Llyn in Llanwern, Newport.

Both of the four bedroom house types are new designs for Glan Llyn and offer purchasers a contemporary home that combines traditional well-loved features such as high ceilings with modern elevations and practical living spaces.

Priced from £325,995, the Garnet house design boasts four double bedrooms (the master bedroom having both an en suite and walk in wardrobe) as well as an open plan kitchen and dining area with French doors leading out to the rear garden, a spacious living room and a separate family room. In comparison, the Barlow, which starts in price from £299,995, has a stylish Juliet balcony for purchasers to enjoy in the master bedroom and instead of a family room downstairs, has a larger open plan kitchen and dining/family room and a separate study area.

Bev Hall, Sales and Marketing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “We’re expecting the Garnet and the Barlow to be two of our most popular house designs at Glan Llyn. Not only do they offer luxury throughout but they have a hugely desirable position overlooking the picturesque lake at Glan Llyn.

“Since launching these new homes, a number of potential purchasers have expressed interest and, based on recent high levels of sales at Glan Llyn, we’re not expecting them to be around for long.”

Glan Llyn, which translates in Welsh as ‘lake-side’, will boast a number of new lakes when complete, as well as more than 80 acres of green, open space.

The new homes are part of a larger development being delivered at Glan Llyn by the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, St. Modwen. In addition to new homes, Glan Llyn will boast leisure and retail space, new education facilities and 80 acres of extensive open parkland when complete. The former Llanwern Steelworks site will also feature its own 100 acre business area, Celtic Business Park, making it a major provider of new office, industrial and warehouse space.
