Long-awaited return of apartments at Locking Parklands

Long-awaited return of apartments at Locking Parklands

30 January 2017

Two years since apartments were last available at Locking Parklands, St. Modwen Homes has launched a new phase of one and two bedroom apartments that, if previous phases are anything to go by, are set to prove a big hit with first time buyers and investors.

Located off Cranwell Road, less than five miles from Weston-super-Mare, the new apartments will add to the mix of three, four and five bedroom homes that are currently available at Locking Parklands.

Designed by Roberts Limbrick architects, the apartments combine luxury and practicality, boasting open plan kitchen and living rooms, with a terrace balcony offering scenic views over the green spaces at Locking Parklands. Additionally, each property is finished to a high standard throughout and benefits from an allocated car parking space.

What’s more the new apartments are priced from just £169,995 for a two bedroom home and all are available to purchase under the government’s Help to Buy scheme meaning the deposit could be as low as £8,500; making them perfect for first time buyers.

Bev Hall, Sales and Marketing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “Last time we launched apartments at Locking Parklands, we sold nearly half of them in the first week alone so we’re really not expecting these new homes to be around for long. Based on previous trends, we’re predicting that the apartments will prove popular with first time buyers using Help to Buy and investors attracted by the high rental yields on offer.”

Bev continued: “Nearly 60% of our homebuyers at Locking Parklands were attracted to St. Modwen Homes because of our characterful house designs. We continue to put a lot of focus on our designs – all of which are bespoke at Locking Parklands – and these new homes will be no different; boasting high ceilings and large windows throughout, as well as built in storage and high quality appliances as standard – not to mention the unique mix of materials used on the frontages of the new homes.”

The new apartments will be part of St. Modwen’s larger £400m mixed-use development at Locking Parklands which will deliver a total of 1,450 homes when complete. It will also comprise 80 acres of landscaped parkland and around 650,000 sq ft of planned employment space.
