Award-winning housebuilder, St. Modwen Homes, has seen sales go through the roof at its Cofton Grange development in Cofton Hackett, with the 14 properties initially released for sale all reserved from plan in just two months.
Meeting the demand for high quality new homes in the area, over 60% of the new homes have been purchased by people who live within 10 miles of the development, ranging from first time buyers to growing families and downsizers.
Bev Hall, Sales and Marketing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “Our new homes at Cofton Grange have proven incredibly popular and with the initial release sold out, we’re now looking forward to seeing how our purchasers start to make it their own.
“By purchasing from plan, these homeowners have been able to put their own stamp on the property by choosing their kitchen, bathroom and other fixtures before moving in, as well as making sure they secured their favourite plot.”
Less than two miles from Lickey Hills Country Park and just a short distance from Longbridge town centre, Cofton Grange offers the best of rural and city living, with more than half of purchasers stating their main reason for buying was the location of the development.
Bev continued: “When planning our developments, we always take location into consideration as we’re aware of just how important it is for people to be close to local amenities whilst still feeling relaxed when they’re at home.
“At Cofton Grange, our purchasers are just a short walk from the many new restaurants and shops – including the largest M&S in the region – that Longbridge town centre has to offer and less than two miles from the picturesque Lickey Hills Country Park where there are plenty of opportunities to explore.”
Cofton Grange forms part of St. Modwen’s broader £1bn regeneration of Longbridge, Birmingham. To date, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist has invested £300m in transforming the former MG Rover site since 2003, equating to £25 million per year. Four hundred family homes have already been created along with shops, eateries, offices, the £66m Bournville College, Longbridge Technology Park and the new Austin Park. Additionally, works have started on the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) Accommodation Building and Longbridge Retirement Village is due to open in 2017.
