Cawston

Cawstone is a small village based in the market town of Rugby, from which the sport takes its name. It has scenic views of the countryside and Cawstone Spinney – a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, with semi-ancient woodland and the iconic Bluebell flowers.

You can visit Elliott’s Field Retail Park, which is home to national retailers, and Rugby Central Shopping Centre or market. There are also a number of restaurants, pubs, bars and cafes in the town. If you fancy a day out, you can drive to the spa-town Royal Leamington Spa in Warwickshire in around 20 minutes.

The village has its own primary school, Cawstone Grange Primary School, which has a ‘Good’ Ofsted  rating. There are two grammar schools in Rugby including Lawrence Sheriff School (boys’ grammar) and Rugby High School (girls’ grammar).

Nearby cities include Coventry, which is around a 20-minute drive, and Birmingham, which is around 40-minutes by car. From Rugby Station, you can travel by train to nearby towns and cities including Coventry, which takes just 12 minutes and has regular trains running everyday. There is also a great bus service within the town, run by Stagecoach.
